Today, I want to share a restaurant we visited during our family trip to Mongsanpo, Taean.
Whenever I plan a family trip, I always operate with the mindset that “the highlight of any trip is exploring great food.” On this trip, we fully embraced a theme of hands-on experiences + food adventures, making it a truly enjoyable time for the whole family.

The place I want to introduce today is “Wangseobang Chinese Restaurant” in Mongsanpo, Taean, a famous spot even featured on the TV show Master of Living.

🌊 Exploring Mongsanpo & Food Adventures
Mongsanpo is right by the sea, offering a rich variety of food experiences and attractions. From fresh seafood to local specialties, there are plenty of sights and tastes that make the trip even more memorable.

Among all the options, our family decided on Wangseobang Chinese Restaurant, a place where everyone—from kids to parents and my husband—could enjoy a meal together.
Keep in mind that this restaurant is very popular; people line up even before it opens. Visiting during lunchtime can mean long waiting times, and takeout can be tricky when it’s crowded. So I highly recommend arriving right at opening time if you want to enjoy a smooth dining or takeout experience.

🍽️ 저희가 주문한 메뉴

저희는 **짬뽕밥, 간짜장, 탕수육(대자)**를 주문했어요.

• 짬뽕밥: 해산물이 푸짐하고, 국물 맛이 깔끔하면서도 깊어요. 매콤하지만 자극적이지 않아 아이들도 잘 먹었답니다.
• 간짜장: 달지 않고 짜지 않아 부드럽게 즐길 수 있어요. 부모님, 아이들과 함께 먹기 좋았어요.
• 탕수육(대자): 바삭한 튀김옷과 부드러운 속살이 매력적이에요. 과도하게 달거나 기름지지 않아 끝까지 부담 없이 즐길 수 있었답니다.

참고로 대자는 생각보다 크지 않아 중자 느낌이었지만, 맛은 충분히 만족스러웠어요.

We ordered Jjamppong Rice, Gan Jjajang, and Sweet & Sour Pork (Large).

• Jjamppong Rice: Packed with fresh seafood, the broth is clean yet rich in flavor. It has a mild spiciness that isn’t overwhelming, so even the kids enjoyed it.
• Gan Jjajang: Not too sweet or salty, making it smooth and easy to enjoy. Perfect for sharing with parents and children.
• Sweet & Sour Pork (Large): Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, this dish was just right. The sauce isn’t overly sweet or greasy, so it’s easy to enjoy until the last bite.

Tip: The “Large” portion is actually closer to a medium size, but the taste more than makes up for it!

국물에서 느껴지는 깔끔하면서도 진한 맛이 일품이었어요. 자극적이지 않으면서도 깊은 풍미가 느껴져, 식사 내내 만족스러웠답니다.
