오늘 소개해 드릴 곳은 커피냅로스터스 제주입니다.
하귀리 바닷가 근처에 자리 잡고 있는 이곳은, 커피 맛이 좋기로 이미 소문난 커피냅로스터스의 제주 지점이라고 해요. 여행지에서 ‘커피 맛이 좋다’는 이야기를 듣고 방문하게 되는 곳은 기대감이 자연스럽게 생기는데, 이곳 역시 그런 기대를 안고 방문하게 되었습니다.

커피냅로스터스 제주는 기존의 제주 돌집을 개조한 공간이라고 합니다. 낮은 지붕의 제주 돌집 특유의 구조가 그대로 살아 있어서, 외관부터 제주다운 분위기가 느껴졌어요. 안거리(안채)와 밖거리(바깥채) 구조 중 한쪽은 카페 공간으로, 다른 한쪽은 주방 공간으로 나누어 사용하고 있다고 하는데, 이런 설명을 알고 나서 보니 공간이 더 흥미롭게 느껴지더라고요.

Located near the Hagu-ri seaside, this café is the Jeju branch of Coffee Nap Roasters, a place already well known for its great-tasting coffee. When you hear that a café is “famous for its coffee,” it naturally raises your expectations—and I visited this place with that same sense of anticipation.

Coffee Nap Roasters Jeju is housed in a renovated traditional Jeju stone house. The low roof and original structure of the stone house have been carefully preserved, so you can feel a distinctly Jeju-style atmosphere from the moment you see the exterior. The space is divided following the traditional layout, with one side used as the café seating area and the other as the kitchen. Knowing this beforehand made the space feel even more interesting and meaningful to explore.

마당으로 들어서면 가장 먼저 눈에 들어오는 것은 오래된 퐁낭, 즉 팽나무입니다. 제주에서만 느낄 수 있는 이 나무의 존재감이 마당 분위기를 한층 더 편안하게 만들어 주는 느낌이었어요. 마당 곳곳에는 미니멀한 의자들이 놓여 있어서, 날씨 좋은 날에는 잠시 앉아 쉬어가기에도 좋아 보였습니다. 여행 중에는 이렇게 아무 생각 없이 잠깐 앉아 있는 시간도 참 소중하잖아요.

While staying at the café, the view outside the windows and the stable, grounded atmosphere of the stone house helped my mind naturally settle and relax. During a trip to Jeju, places where you can spend time feeling that it’s okay to do nothing are especially precious, and this café felt exactly like that kind of space.
