I happened to stop by Maudie while walking around Yeonhui-dong because it was quite busy and caught my attention. In the end, I was very satisfied with both the atmosphere and the food. Rather than being flashy, the place has a simple and warm, neighborhood-living-room kind of charm. I also noticed quite a few international guests, which made me think, “This place must really be well known.”

Maudie first opened in Yeonhui-dong in February 2018 and has been run with the philosophy of becoming “a place that’s loved for a long time by the local community.” Knowing this story before dining there made the entire meal feel even warmer and more meaningful.
